Customer Reviews

"We have been looking for "fish camp" style seafood in the Shallotte area and we really wanted some fried oysters. Well, we found both at Silver Hill Grill. We got our food to-go and it was amazing. The portions were huge."

"This was my 1st time ordering here. We called in 3 separate orders for our large family. We had to wait a few minutes when we got there, but the screened in porch with a fan was appreciated. Our food was delicious. We enjoyed the Deluxe combo, so all of the fried seafood. Good slaw and the hush puppies were outstanding. My only negative is the cocktail & tarter packets. When you've got seafood that is outstanding, you want quality sauces."

"Outside is a little off putting as it is a trailer or little building with a screened in porch. The shrimp and fish (whiting) is a bit over priced $16.99 for the amount we got. Whiting is full of bones and very fishy. There was a handful of fries that had no taste. Five hush puppies that were really good. The shrimp and onion rings are awesome! The cole slaw I could definitely do without. Just tastes like mayonnaise. My husband loved his double cheeseburger. Cheese sticks are only five to an order but they are good. Most orders we seen were locals that called in. We will be calling our order in next time so we don't have to wait that long. Prices compared to other places in the area are pretty good. I'd recommend the shrimp, burgers, hush puppies and onion rings."

"This is a quaint, local eatery housed in a single-wide trailer with a screened front porch. With a total of 4 plastic picnic tables, this is flipflops and cutoffs attire dining. Most of the business we saw transacted were locals who called ahead and placed their orders. Being tourists, we waited 30+ minutes for our small calabash shrimp dinners. But, oh! It was worth it!!! Fries were thick crinkle-cut style, and a bit tasteless, the hush puppies were teaspoon-sized sweet treats perfectly fried, and the slaw was a chopped, pickle version that had good flavor. The mound of shrimp (mediums, I think), were bigger than a quarter, smaller than a half dollar, and lightly breaded- Calabash-style. Just delicious! I can usually finish a small order of fried shrimp and fixings, but I've enough left over for a light lunch tomorrow. And it was only $16.99! What a deal!!! They're only open Thursday thru Sunday, but we will definitely be back...to pick up our next order we call in!"

"This place is an absolute must go to every time we go to hold Beach, It\n's just a small trailer on the side of the road , something that you probably wouldn't even notice if you wasn't looking But man, take the time and stop, the food is fabulous.Fabulous.The service is great. It's just a small place, you go in, go to the window Order your meal and either take it or sit there and eat. It's a five star for me."

"Nice little shack with a good flow of locals and small screened in sitting area. Nice frendly service and food was cooked to order. Great amount of food for the cost. We got the shrimp burger and shrimp and fish plate both were delicious. Hush puppies were nice and fluffy and coleslaw was satisfying. Would definitely come again if in the area."

"This place isn't doing anything innovative or creating anything that's really unique to them, but what they are doing is serving large portions of decent food for a great price. The plate I got would have cost $30 on the island. It's worth stopping by, but like previous reviews, call ahead because they are busy and it takes a bit to get your food."
